Could you tell I wrote the previous entry while in french class? I'm still in french class, jokes on you. Someone get me out of here, why am I even I college. (Although I suppose that by american standards I'm in university, not college. As Google says, at least.) If going to college wasn't my only option to reach the obvious goals of getting a job and by extension money, I wouldn't have set foot in this place. College, I mean. I like to learn, but I like to learn by my own accord. Or at least without tests and exams. Oh well. At least my dad can brag about me being in uni now. Istg he started bragging even before I got my university admission exams' results. Maybe he's living vicariously through me, since he never got to finish highschool, and now that I think about it, my mother didn't either. But that doesn't mean I'm obligated to go in "their" stead. Fuck em', its my life.
Hon hon hon oui oui. <-- that's how I see french people. (JOKE, mostly)
I don't know if I regret picking french as the extra mandatory language. On one hand, out of all the languages available (latin, german, arabic & french) french is probably there one I understand best (except latin, but I didn't feel like taking it again after 3 years of taking it.) And I've taken french before, I didn't enjoy it, so I don't know why I expected my thoughts on the language to be different.
I like languages, and I don't mind the way french is written, not as much as I mind it's pronunciation. Because what the hell is up with that? Sometimes I hear a sentence after reading it and I find it hard to believe its the same language. Take some pointers from the coolest language ever -not really- spanish! When you know the ways letters are said alone and in some combinations that change pronunciation, you are set. You could hear a word you haven't heard before, sound it out, and you'd have a high chance of being correct. There aren't that many variations when it comes to difference between written words and spoken ones, and I think that's wonderful.
I love latin as a language, but its veery much dead and its not very useful to know, although it can help you a lot with learning romance languages, because they come from latin. One thing that I love to do is write in the Greek alphabet while actually writing in another language, since I know the equivalents of latin and Greek letters. They made interesting encrypted notes, and you only needed to learn the alphabet, and not the language. Oh, the hells I went through translating Homer's Odyssey. Curse you, Homer, curse you, Julius Caesar and your damn uninteresting war diaries in which you wrote the types of lands the Gales lived in. How is that interesting? I do not care, you egocentric prick. Those 30 something stabs were well deserved. Good last words, though. 'Et tu, Brute?' is cool as fuck. Ah, the angst! The betrayal!
You guys think there's Brute/Julius fanfic out there? Who am I kidding? Of course there is. Forgive me for doubting the internet and its fujoshis. (God I'm old, what a word. And to think I considered myself a fujoshi once upon a time.)
Those were the days.
I actually did my homework. Take that, ororboros.
This teacher has the most monotone voice ever, god.
I wonder how a world where music is illegal would be. If music became illegal I'd probably just kill myself. Music is a beautiful part of life, and I think it's part of what it means to be human. We've been making music since before we made weapons (spears and the like) or maybe ever since then. I cannot imagine an existence without music. Am I exaggerating over hypothetically killing myself over a world with no music? Maybe not. Crazy, at 13, I imagined I'd be gone by 16, and then at 16, I thought the same about turning 18. And here I am, with 20 years of age, in college, because I have no other option. I need to get my degree and get a job, life isn't easy for the physically disabled that aren't disabled enough to not be able to work and therefore get money from the state. (Aka: me)
I wish I didn't have to work, to go to class, to take exams, to do the things I don't feel like doing. But... Don't we all?
Do not worry, since my desired reality is manifesting... What am I saying? has manifested. I just have to see it. How? I'm still trying to figure that out. I'll get there.
I love Arbutus Slab, the font. It's the font I currently have as my main font on here, assuming I don't change it in the future. If I could use that font for everything, I woul, if it became the only font in the world, I wouldn't be too upset about it.
Live laugh love Arbutus Slab from the serif family, available on the Google Fonts website.
There is something deep in my soul that prevents me from doing my homework. I sould be doing it right now. Yet here I am, typing this nonsensical entry
Someone relase me from the grip of this creature called procastination, also known as "eh, I have time. And even if I didn't... who cares? Not me."
'The 1st step to change is to change oneself.'
True... but, eh... I have time.
I truly understand ouroboros now. An endless cycle, of death (mildly regreting my procastination) and rebirth ("eh, I have time, still.")
My theory of literature professor is probably one of the most boring professors I've got, maybe barring the spanish language and use lady. Or the french teacher. Or every single one, in fact.
Or maybe I'm just awfully pessimistic because I've had to wake up at 5:30 am and I didn't really sleep much because I decided to read a fanfic instead. Incredible ways of using the time I should be asleep.
I actually should be taking notes right now, but I couldn't care less.
Should I? Yes, considering it costs money. College, I mean. Or does it, in my case? Maybe not, because this year's tuition was payed by my mom's rich dying friend. Or she gave me money that covers this year's tuition, and then some. Thank you, Rita.
Some might argue that I should study even harder, since someone else was kind enough to pay and that someone was dying of cancer. But to be frank, I don't care much. I mean, I am thankful for the money she gave me, considering she had no obligation to do so. But I don't feel indebted (is that a word?) to her. Anyway, I'll pass. I have faith in my capabilities. If I could pass my college entrance exams without studying at all, I can pass the first year of English studies.
Today was boring. I don't really want to do anything, and as far as I know I have nothing to do. I've got a few exams coming up next week, the first college exams I'll ever do. I don't really know what do expect, both from my teachers and from myself, since who knows how I'll perform. Me? Pfft, no. We'll, I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I also have to upload a video of me talking in french for my damn teacher to see. I hate that bitch, making me film myself. I hate talking, in general. I loathe talking in a language I'm not nearly as fluent as others, like french. Why did I even pick french. I should have ignored my cousin's advise and picked german instead. Or maybe not. I don't know. Point is, I have to do french. Blegh.
